Postponed!

Updated: Apr 30, 2023

What is procrastination?

Maybe you'll postpone reading this blog as well,

BUT HOLD ON🤚🏻...This is your sign to STOP🚫procrastinating.

This blog will help you to stop your procrastination, explain why it is happening, and explain what you can do to make things better.

Firstly, let's understand what exactly happens when we say we procrastinate.

Procrastination refers to the act of delaying or postponing tasks. It is a result of our brain being wired to prioritize immediate gratification over long-term benefits. When faced with a difficult or an unpleasant task, we may at times avoid it, or we tend to seek out easier or more enjoyable activities, even if they are unproductive.

WE JUST PUT THAT TASK ASIDE.

Now let's understand WHY DOES IT HAPPEN?

Do you overload yourself with a lot of work? Do you not take enough breaks and keep working? Do you keep delaying the task because it's difficult?

Yes ❗Right here..This is the problem.

"THERE IS A FINE LINE BETWEEN CHALLENGING YOURSELF AND OVERWHELMING YOURSELF"

- Brittany Burgunder

Overloading yourself with a lot of work is like making a traffic jam in your head. And being in a traffic jam isn't pleasing, right?

What we can do!

1. Break the tasks into smaller ones, be specific, and set clear goals and deadlines.

2. Organize and plan your work✍🏻

3. Take enough breaks! You deserve a break after a long session or schedule!🥹 Don't you think?

4. Use positive self-talk🤍: Instead of focusing on the negative aspects of the task, use positive self-talk to motivate yourself. Tell yourself what you can do! Focus on the benefits of completing the task.

5. Reward yourself😉: Set up a reward system to celebrate completing a task✨. This could be as simple as taking a break or treating yourself to something you enjoy 🥳.

6. Find your reason - The why!

7. Understand why it is happening.

8. Work on it

9. BE KIND AND PATIENT WITH YOURSELF.

Simple, isn't it?
